YC has 5,725 open jobs across their portfolio of startups.
YC might be the only early-stage investor we’ll cover that has zero people in a typical VC Talent function. They do have custom software (“Work at a Startup”) that connects interested talent with YC startups. It has some similarities to the platform we’ve built at TrueUp.
Our analysis excludes open jobs at public companies (AirBnB, Coinbase, Doordash, etc.). If we include those companies, there are 6,760 open jobs at YC companies. This combined entity would be the third most-active tech “hirer” behind Amazon (8,319 open jobs) and Tesla (6,911).
